wisdom from chanel

"I don't understand how a woman can leave the house without fixing herself up a little - if only out of politeness. And then, you never know, maybe that's the day she has a date with destiny. And it's best to be as pretty as possible for destiny."
--Coco Chanel

Seriously. PLEASE!
I have a whole bucket of complaints, but I will bite my tongue.
Also, I love Coco Chanel.
Also, is my life so boring that all I can write on my blog is complaints?
Pitiful.
I will try to think of something better to write next time.

break that spring!

Spring Break was fantastic this year! day01 started with spending the night at Steph's house and meeting her sisters and their husbands and daughters! It was so fun! day02 Chelsea and Aubrey picked us up and we drove to The Gateway. It was my first time there and I had a BLAST! We shopped and ate and shopped some more!

Then we went to tour the Salt Lake Library. Also a first timer. I fell. in. love! Beautiful architecture always gets me, add on the smell of books, and a glass elevator and I am sold!

Plus. I must admit that I LOVE making copies.

Then we checked into our hotel! so fun, I felt like a true grown up. :) Since it was snowing we decided to find a restaurant close to our hotel for dinner. Applebee's was in the same parking lot, so we went there. YUM! I loved the bacon burger. and the fries are top notch. delish.

Then we headed back to the hotel and swam in the pool and tried to find something good on the 3 channels we had on TV. We played card games and chatted and had some great girl time!
Morning 03 we went down to the lobby in our pj's and grabbed some fantastic free breakfast! SO good! They even had my favorite double choc choc choc chocolate chip muffins. YUMMY!

I had such a fun two days with my girlies! Thanks for the fun time!
Then I went home for the rest of the week and had a GREAT time relaxing, being with my family, sleeping in, playing Mario Kart on Nintendo 64 all. day. long, going to The Adjustment Bureau with mom, going to see Hairspray at the Hale Center Theatre with mom, brother, and sister. . .I had a GREAT time and I definitely needed the break! Thank you for everyone for everything!

we're just drinking tonight. . .

My bestie Naomi and her husband Raulon took me out for a night on the town for my birthday. We started the night out at their cute house and made a huge spread of Chinese food. from scratch!! it was SO fun to be with Naomi--she is such a sweetheart and I'm so lucky to have her as a friend. Beef and Broccoli, Spring Rolls, Fried Rice, Sweet and Sour Chicken. I was in HEAVEN!

We used a new ingredient. . .gingeroot (read: gingerROO!) . It looks like gnarly finger. . .needless to say--we had quite a fun time with that. :)

THEN!! after eating the meal we slaved (haha. . .) over we went to the Beehive Grill for rootBEERS at the BAR!! WHOO! It was so fun! We even had to show our ID's and everything. I. am so. cool.

LUCKILY Raulon was our designated driver. We got a little crazy after all that alcohol. Oh and did I forget to mention that we went back to the house and watched an episode (or three) of Smallville? Clark Kent after 2 rootbeers was almost a little to much to handle. Being 21 is great!

I'm so lucky to have these two as friends! I love you both!!!! Thank you for the fantastic night!

21

I had so many plans for my 21st birthday, I was going to go to Atlantic City and be playing 21 when I turned 21, and buy 21 things with my winnings and get 21 guys' phone numbers and. . . oh wait. That's Gilmore Girls.

My birthday was FANTASTIC! My friends and family made it such a great day! I'm so lucky to have them in my life. I went home for the weekend before and then my birthday was Monday aka presidents day aka no school. So my family came up to Logan to see where I live and spend time with me. It was so great to have them all here with me and show them around this town I've been living in for 3 years.

My mom said as we drove by the hospital, "Look! We were there 21 years ago with newborn Keisha." 21 years later in the same spot. Kind of surreal. 21. I can now sit at the bar when I go to a restaurant. presh! this will be a great year. :)

P.S. I love this picture of me and my daddy. so. cute.
